ConnectorsFor the development of complex products, an organization requires a CAD program for their design and a PDM system to record the entire process and the CAD data. The CAD system in this case, contains the Design Intelligence (e.g. the 3D geometry parameters) while the Process Intelligence (e.g. the reference number logic) is located in the PDM system. Since both systems need to be available integratively in the product development process in order to facilitate working without technical interruptions, both systems are 'paired up' via an interface and/or a connector. There are currently numerous interfaces available on the market which are however, inadequate for proper product development support. Our expertise in Connectors:PITERION integrates commercially available interfaces with our own development know-how. In comparison to conventional interfaces that usually only link two systems, PitCon („PITERION Innovative Connector“) is a connector solution comprising numerous out of the box interfaces. Using a socket connection, a bi-directional synchronization facility is created that enables fluent processing. The connector builds on established interchange standards (e.g. XML) and thus facilitates the integration of all systems currently available. PitCon was developed over several years by a large team of experts together with a renowned reference client out of the automotive industry. The connector fulfils all the demands of a powerful Multi-CAD / Multi-PDM environment. In addition, the interface is entirely compatible with PITERION's integrated workspace SelectBest. This combination enables a smart and up to date product development process. Our Services:
